Were the Jews actually passing through the Great Island to recover the gold for the construction of the Temple of Solomon? The mystery of Alakamisy Ambohimaha has not been fully elucidated.

Alakamisy Ambohimaha’s mystery

On a hillside near the town of Alakamisy Ambohimaha, on highway 7, a little less than 400 kilometers south of Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar, and seemingly ancient inscriptions of Jewish origin, always arouse curiosity . In an idyllic setting, and on substantive characteristic landscape of the region of Betsileo, it is a place that deserves attention.

Researchers who have seen these inscriptions have concluded that this would be a historic and tangible proof of the link between the Big Island and the Jews who were allegedly en route to Madagascar to recover gold needed for the construction of the Temple of Solomon, as described in the Old Testament.

Registrations of Alakamisy Ambohimaha raise in any case endless debates. But beyond these different interpretations, just to admire the beauty of the site may well suffice.
