Madagascar's National Tourism Office is taking part in ITB Berlin, the world's greates tourism show, from March 10th to March 14th, 2010. The Great Isle's representatives are located in the hall 20.

The ONTM made the trip to Berlin to promote the Destination Madagascar with a 7 Tour Operators strong delegation. The discovery screen on the Great Isle is located in the Hall 20's stand n°103. On March 11th, 2010, the malagasy delegation gave a press conference in the Funkturm Palast's western aisle, in the ITB trade fair field in presence of the ONTM's chief executive and its executive director. The HAT minister for Tourism, Irène Andréas, stated that Madagascar was ready to welcome tourists from everywhere.

The president of the ONTM, Joël Randriamandranto, publicly praised the efforts completed in order to re launch the sector in the country. The strong presence of Malagasy tour operators in Berlin is the sign of this re launch after a catastrophic year 2009 because of the HAT ignited political crisis, and also due to the global financial crisis. Aloes Travel Tours, Discover Madagascar, Europe Voyages, Exelans Tourism, Island Continent Tours, Mercury Voyages and Tropic Tours & Travel are part of the squad together with Air Madagascar.

The ITB Berlin welcomes professional visitors from March 10th to 12th, 2010 from 10:00 a.m.  to 18:00. Then it will be the public's turn on March 13th and 14th, 2010, still from 10:00 to 18:00.
