Pierrot Rajaonarivelo creates his political movement 29/01/2010 | 08:48:48

The former national Secretary of the Arema party is, henceforth, independently flying. His collaborators granted him the MDM movement's top seat.

The former empowered Arema party is definitely breaking apart. Its former national secretary is, from now on, on top of a new political movement named MDM (Mientana ho an'ny demokrasia Madagasikara eto or Together for democracy in Madagascar). As a seldom enough thing, the MDM wants to appear "out of politics". The movement would be made of about one hundred associations and organizations.

During a couple of days long constituent assembly in the Malagasy capital city, the MDM established its prerogatives. Pierrot Rajaonarivelo has been granted the movement's top seat. The MDM is not keen on participating into the transition. In politics, observers are calling this gait "saving strength for the Republic". Pierrot Rajaoanarivelo has indeed always displayed his intentions to run the presidential race someday.

Since several months, Pierrot Rajaonarivelo was quarrelling with the Arema party's leading layer. He even no more got along with the party's founding father, Didier Ratsiraka. The latter naturally suggested him to resume his duty as before and zip mouth.

With the MDM, Pierrot Rajaonarivelo is now clearly intending to move away from the political mobilities involved in (or cast aside from) the transitional period's management and the settlement of the political crisis in Madagascar.
