The transitional leadership keeps on supporting the idea of an election to be held within the next months. As an evidence of its determination, the government passed its new electoral code. Putsch makers are anxious to challenge international sanctions to the end.
On March 17th, the African Union's Peace Council will unfold the red list of the Malagasy figures "to be punished" for their purposed hindrance of the Maputo and Addis-Ababa processes' implementation. But there is still no sign of expiation will from the High Authority of Transition.
Andry Rajoelina and his accomplices are considering the agreements signed in Maputo and Addis-Ababa as history. The other signatories do not put it this way. The Marc Ravalomanana, Didier Ratsiraka and Albert Zafy mobilities consider the implementation of the agreements as the single way out of from the crisis. But since the end of 2009, Andry Rajoelina does no more want to hear anything else of any "inclusive" and "consensual" Transition.

Collaborators and hard liners supportive of the High Authority of Transition are longing for definitely getting rid of the roadmap drawn up by SADC, and preparing a fake putsch to this end. The HAT´s justice Minister, Christine Razanamahasoa, holds the adoption of any amnesty bill before February 29th, as recommended by the SADC, as impossible. The possibility for Marc Ravalomanana to get diplomatic protection in the run of his come back is seriously startling the supporters of the High Authority of Transition.
