Human Network International: 25 new telecenters in Madagascar 29/08/2010 | 20:20:19

Human Network International (HNI), an American organization, plans to establish new 25 telecenters in every big city of Madagascar. These telecommunication centers will be managed by local operators. Their main targets include developing the access to bank services and familiarizing people living in distant localities with new technology, particularly the Internet. Each center will be equipped with 8 computers, printers and scanners. Besides, the center will also have a special training room. As far as the Internet is concerned, Human Network International will grant the local population 15 minutes free Internet access everyday in order to initiate them with this important information and communication tool. At first, some Malagasy volunteers will take care of the popularization of the Internet among the local young people.
