In order to promote the development of the handicrafts sector in Madagascar, many Malagasy craftsmen have received special training tending to promote products from Madagascar as well as their image abroad.
Indeed, the beneficiaries of that training were informed about the basic principles of adaptive strategies used in the promotion of products especially when aiming to the exports and the search of partnership. During the last 10 years, Meva Association organized various shows in addition to its participation in international fairs. For instance, it has already organized a fashion show rewarding the best professional artists and designers as part of the exploration of the world capital of fashion.
Besides, the association has already provided Malagasy designers with capacity building session tending to help the latter in terms of creativity, design, product environment, graphic design and contemporary creation. The training which ended yesterday was devoted to the most talented craftsmen so that they can set out to conquer new markets through international fairs like the one that Meva Association organizes in Besançon, starting on May 12 until 20, 2012, which is in partnership with “Art d’ici et d’Ailleurs” (The art of here and elsewhere).
