Union of public school teachers : strikers do keep holding on

Common ground between the ruling power and the SEMPAMA (the union of public school teachers) seems to be gradually eluding. The union let it be known, that the strike does not end. Manoro Regis, the education minister, recalled that the scheduled official exams would not suffer any change.
The ruling clique promised some MGA 25 billions to the union of public school teachers. Not enough! replied the union. It is calling upon, or rather requiring long term reforms for all teachers. Public schools are consequently closed, while private schools keep on teaching. Public schools are generally speaking, being visited by children stemming from low budget families. They are the ones having to pay the price for the dispute
