No way! The International Community requires the electoral calendar to remain the way it is

Andry Rajoelina, the transitional leader, wanted the legislative elections to be completed before tackling the presidential election basically supposed to take place in May 2013 in Madagascar. He even announced his intention to alter the electoral calendar when he made pull out of the presidential race public. The International Community does not buy the point. The SADC’s latest officially stated stand emphasized that the electoral calendar is not to be altered any more. The presidential elections’ knock out round will have to come true on May 8th. It’s playoffs and the legislative elections will follow suit in July. The same statement addressed the amnesty to be granted to Marc Ravalomanana and Andry Rajoelina, the main decision makers in the Malagasy political dispute, who both accepted to pull out of the incoming presidential race

Lalao Ravalomanana, the former first lady has, by the end of the week, tackled her campaign in the North of Madagascar, while, Andry Rajoelina, the self proclaimed transitional leader and her main opponent took the opposite direction, and opened a hospital in Toliara. The FFKM keen on taking the next step forward: after its general consultation casted at the International Conference Center in Ivato by the beginning of May, the FFKM church leaders made it clear that the latest three chiefs of state and the current outgoing leader of the transitional ruling power will be brought together in the run of a summit. This year's June 26th may expect to be more peculiar than the other ones. Military commanders decided to make it theirs, as a matter of fact. The armed forces will get inspected by the armed forces transitional minister and the transitional secretary of state for the state police department.
