Mandraka, nature in its most basic shape 14/05/2014 | 08:40:21

One hour ride away in the east of the capital city, the area called Mandraka lies as one of these places which retained its natural face in spite of growing human activity.

Travelers will not regret the natural show when dashing through Mandraka, a place located in the central eastern part of Madagascar some 37 miles on the way to the island's eastern coast. Mandraka happens to hang in a range of hills. The well built road winds its way through the local heights and offers a stunning overview of the whole area. Peculiar reptilian residents make this part of the island famed and do not require sharp ranger skills to be found. The green carpet seems to have no end. Going for a walk over the hills provides with an exceptional spectacle of the wide rice growing fields stretching throughout plains and valleys.
