Travel professionals do not advise against Madagascar any more. Nevertheless apprehension remains as the political crisis is not yet thoroughly sorted out.

After several months of hesitation, some tourists begin to make for the Great Isle again. On the ground, professionals do their outmost to convince the new comers how right they are to visit the country. From now on, travel operators’ inspirations definitely compete to satisfy tourists coming in the Great Isle 

 

Still though, some 150000 tourists are still expected in the country for this year. Along the latest years though, Madagascar had successfully overcome the record 300000 tourists for the first time. This outstanding progress has been broken since January 2009 by the political crisis in the Great Isle 

 

For the time being, most of the professionals try to orientate the first tourist towards sites away from cities which remain at risk to face up to forthcoming politically linked  ups and downs. The majority of tourist sites as sea sides and national parks should actually remain spared from eventual troubles linked to Madagascan politics. 

 

Therefore everything is about organisation and orientation to save a hugely disrupted sector for the latest months
