Chissano drawing a long run mission in Antananarivo to an end

Clerics, militaries and politicians were entitled to express their points to the Mozambican former President.

Joaquim Chissano equally met the HAT Prime Minister, Camille Vital, and the High Authority of Transition’s leader, Andry Rajoelina. The SADC mediator is still to make his conclusions public concerning the current situation in Madagascar after 16 months of political crisis.

During his meeting with the ruling authorities, Chissano let it be known that international mediators would pull back if Madagascans are able to find a long term settlement for the crisis
