Scores of political actors are now convinced that the settlement of the Malagasy political crisis is a matter of mutual forgiveness between opposing sides. But prior to that, mediating sides first have to make an example.

Forgiveness and reconciliation, between mediating sides first

All of the supposed “mediators” in the Malagasy crisis actually do not share the same mind. Some of the civil society´s voices are now pushing for reconciling them first before addressing the Malagasy political crisis´ main actors.

So did Nary Ravonjy, journalist photographer of the newspaper for Midi Madagasikara, parson Ravoavy Ravanomanda, and the civil administrator Midy, express the idea of reconciling the Malagasy “mediators”. They are calling for a meeting between these mediators,  the Raiamandreny Mijoros, the national reconciliation of former president Albert Zafy, the transitional parliament´s reconciliation commission, for the sake of getting the same point

Besides, the project´s founders addressed in the run of a press conference the four parties bound by the agreements of Maputo and Addis Ababa, namely Andry Rajoelina, chief of his transition, and the three former presidents, Albert Zafy, Didier Ratsiraka and Marc Ravalomanana, and called upon their goodwill to find common ground in order to sign the SADC´s roadmap, and push for the settlement of the crisis. Will they be heard? That is the question.
