Pety Rakotoniaina, mayor of Fianarantsoa in Madagascar´s southern center, assessed that an increasing number of households are struggling to pay electricity bills in his city.

In 2009, some 80% of customers could pay their bills, now only 50%  according to the mayor. According to Pety Rakotoniaina, such is featuring the deterioration of the population´s living standards of the population since the beginning of the political crisis in the Great Isle.
On this account, this politician does now believe that the authorities would have better considering compliance with the roadmap the way it is in order to get international recognition rather than pushing for  elections.
