The FREE FM radio station’s couple of reporters wanted by the ruling power, dead or alive, remains out of reach. They have been hiding for weeks. Their station was shut down by the ruling power in the run of the mutiny attempt led by paratroopers on July 22nd.

Renewed arrest warrant against Free FM’s Lalatiana and Fidele

The arrest warrant directed against both reporters of the FREE FM station was renewed as a consequence of this famous mutiny attempt. The station actually broadcasted the rebelling forces’ statement on that day. The ruling power did certainly not let the opportunity to shut the station’s inconvenient mouth once for all slip through its dictatorial fingers.  Since March 2009, no less than 80 radio stations have been turned off and ten reporters sent behind bars. FREE FM’s Lalatiana Rakotondrazafy and Fidele Razara Pierre, as far as they are concerned, used to be closely connected and more than supportive of the imposed transitional rulers in the run of the year 2009’s putsch, weren’t they, before swapping allegiance and denouncing their former bosses’ deviations.
