The electoral con: More 150,000 voters vanishing from registers in Antananarivo

Antananarivo used to have some 620,000 voters during the year 2007´s communal election. In the current register prepared by the HAT, the capital city only has 498,000 voters. Since the population has been increasing in number, it is being estimated that some 150,000 voters are suddenly missing.

Opposition members are calling it a flagrant electoral con,  a trick from the putsch originated power to produced forged participation rates after November 17th´referendum. Swaying voters would have on this account been directly withdrawn from registers.
