Jean Claude Rakotoarilalao has finally recovered home soil after six months of custody. He was part of the seven people working for the french company AREVA, captured in September 2010 in Niger by Al Qaeda´s branch of the islamic Maghreb

The Malagasy citizen captured by Al Qaeda is back home

The conditions of the release were not revealed by the french authorities.
Jean Claude Rakotoarilalao was glad to meet those of his own anew. This Malagasy mechanic was close to retirement when a great job opportunity knocked at the door.
The fairytale was short from turning into a tragedy when he was abducted together with some of the AREVA group´s workers. The operation was immediately claimed by Al Qaeda.
