The political parties’ conference is planning to hold the referendum on November 17th

The National Conference will have to come true by the end of August prior to this electoral showdown, in compliance with the Malagasy civil society’s expectations.

Opposition members took part to the talks, without their respective parties’ pledge, and were consequently labeled as traitors by their colleagues. However, they remain convinced that their contribution might ease the Malagasy crisis’ settlement process.
