In 2006, a little more than 300.000 tourists and holiday makers have chosen to travel to Madagascar. An island which appears more and more as a tourist destination of great interest in the Indian Ocean zone.

300.000 have chosen Madagascar

For the first time, the number of foreign tourists travelling to the Great Island exceeded 300.000. This figure has been in constant increase for one decade, except the bracket of 2002, marked by a political crisis in Madagascar. As the Western holiday makers take note of the various possibilities of visit and expatriation in the Large Island of the Indian Ocean, the number of the tourists increases. Formerly classified among ?adventurous?destinations, Madagascar image changes slowly but surely. The island appears today among the top 5 ecotouristic destinations of Africa. The number of hotels meeting the international standards does not cease increasing through the country. Comfort is accessible at reasonable prices, as testify those who already travelled at least once to Madagascar.
