A discovery of Madagascar’s handcraft

Along the road leading to Ambohitrimanjaka, a peripheral town not far from Antananarivo, one may find a handful of handcraft booths. These are really worth a visit for those who wish to buy some of the best handcrafts at very good prices. Indeed, the booths offer a very wide variety of products from all over Madagascar. embroidery, sculpture, basket making and textile, etc. Almost every products may be found here, all made with by hand by craftsmen of various areas of the island.  The booths of the Digue road are certainly rather representative but it is also not the single place in Antananarivo where one can find the products of the craft industry of Madagascar.
