Antananarivo exposed

The photo gallery is the continuation of an initiative of two members of the Andohalo association: Nasolo Valiavo Andriamihaja, better known under its pen name Vanf, chronicler within the newspaper L’Express de Madagascar, and Daddy Marotiana, photographer. The two accomplices had the idea, at the time of the national festival of June 26, to assemble a natural reproduction size of the royal house of Besakana which stood in the Rova of the palate of Manjakamiadana. Everybody knows the sad end of these vestiges of the old times, burned at the time of the tragic fire of November 6, 1995.    Daddy Marotiana and Vanf wanted to give a new life to these ashes and thus assembled a photograph gallery having for framework the garden of Andohalo and the house of Besakana at its center. The town hall of Tana approved the project and financed it. To the old photographs of the city, and palate of Manjakamiadana was added the futuristic vision of Antananarivo with green parks and blue waters.
