Bilateral cooperation between Madagascar and Turkey: toward the improvement of investment

Soon, a delegation from Turkey will visit Madagascar with the goal of strengthening the economic ties between the two countries. During the celebration of the 89th anniversary of the Turkish Independence Day, its Ambassador, Ercümen Ahmet, Enç, highlighted the economic cooperation between Turkey and Madagascar. He stated, for instance, that since his appointment as a Turkish ambassador in Madagascar, the bilateral cooperation between the two countries has greatly improved and commercial exchanges have quadrupled.

An evidence of such improvement is the increasing availability of Turkish products in some Malagasy markets. These include products used in steel industry and food processing industry, car spare parts, and foods like dates for which Turkey is well-known. On its side, Madagascar exports to Turkey typical local products such as vanilla, cinnamon, clove, pepper, and also textile products. In a word, the visit of the Turkish investors in Madagascar will surely bring about more opportunities and exchanges in the commercial cooperation between the two countries.
