At about one month before the event, the first International Mining and Hydrocarbons Exhibition aroused great interests among operators. Stands for the exhibition are already booked at 90%. Large companies are taking part in its preparations in order to ensure its success. Indeed, Henri Fraise Fils Group and Co., Ambatovy Project Minerals Ltd and the China International Fund have decided to be the official sponsors of the event. Other major companies such as Rio Tinto, Tullow Madagascar Sarl, Essar Exploration and Production, Jindal Madagascar Sarl, Kraomita Malagasy and Madagascar Oil SA and Wisco are listed among the co-sponsors.
However, the subscription process in order to participate in the event is not yet closed. “There are still available places for those wishing to take part in activities such as business meeting, B to B, the commodity exchanges and the mining village”, said Serge Andrianaivoravelona, Chief of Staff inside the Ministry of Mining and Hydrocarbons, and member of the Organizing Committee. B to B meetings will allow national operators to find technical or financial partners. Foreign investors will be able to explore potential partnerships with local projects. The commodity exchange will provide owners of mining products with an opportunity to find sales partnership with foreign professionals in search of raw materials. In a word, during the exhibition, simple miners, lapidary and jewelers will be able to showcase their crafts and skills and will also be able to look for potential buyers.
