Business Plan Contest: an ISCAM’s former student wins 2000 Euros

Over a dozen participants, Andritiana Dewa Nirilalaina, a former graduate of ISCAM won the Business Plan Contest, organized by the Institute NewcoPark and incubator of the contest. The award ceremony was held yesterday in the premises of the Institute with the presence of the project’s initiator, Cedric Donck.

Dealing with the 2 current key sectors, High-Tech and Communication, the projects of the different contestants proved to be very varied. These include, from the conception of online magazines to the promotion of tourism in Madagascar via Internet. Each business plan greatly attracted the attention of the Jury members. However, the winning project, a virtual platform aiming to publicize the Great Island, amazed the public.

The project is called “Virtual Mada” and is actually a website featuring a panel of photographs of all the regions of Madagascar and all of its quarters. “The project arose from discovering that Madagascar is still not included in the Google Street View”, explains the initiator and winner of the contest. Indeed, “Virtual Mada” allows Internet users to locate even the smallest corner of a city. “The pictures are accurate, because if the Internet users click on the name of any hotel, it is possible for them to visit the interior parts of the establishment, to see the rooms etc. and that is in order to provide prospective tourists with the opportunity to take a glimpse of what is waiting for them in the country”, said Andritiana Dewa Nirilalaina.
