The Malagasy capital city has undergone at least three major hold ups within a few days. The emerging phenomenon stirs various reactions. Everyone knows that no one but security forces are allowed to possess AK-47 type assault rifles throughout the Great Isle. Everyone knows as well that the country is merely on the verge of getting any new government. The election of a new President in December 2013 has brought no change yet in the country. Insecurity even seems to grow bigger into big cities. One week ago, a police officer got shot dead by outlaws in Toamasina city. Some observers directly build a link between this phenomenon and the country’s political situation. The new ruling power supposed to bring solutions has not proved itself fit for the job yet.
