A brief lecture in Economics by Christian Chadefaux

How long will it be before Madagascar recovers economically!

Following a meeting of World Bank delegates, on location, L?Express de Madagascar reports how Christian Chadefaux briefly described Madagascar?s economic growth: “In a nutshell, Madagascar?s national economy is much like swimming pool diver. He reached bottom at 12.7 meters (42 feet), in 2002. In 2003, the diver managed to come up 9.6 meters (32 feet), or 76%, i.e., he has another 3.1 meters (10 feet) – 24% – before he can resurface and catch his breath!” One can only hope that he does not die of the bends, upon his triumphant return!
