the choice is up to us, let's change the face of our city

job announcement: a big city is recruiting its new mayor

I am part of the young generation that wants to see changes happening and live it fully, I am also part of these ambitious young leaders that believe that it is the turn of the younger generation to lead now. So, I welcomed cheerfully the decision of Andry Rajoelina to run for the post of the mayor of the city.

I think the whole system needs refreshment and a modern and dynamic touch. Usually, I don’t like talking about politics but so many young people identify themselves in Andry Rajoelina as I do, not only for the success story he represents but also for the dynamism he is showing. However, I would encourage him to hire a coach to manage his image and the way he communicates, he has to appear stronger and standing tall in front of the other main runner who is also someone
with his merits.

Indeed, Hery Rafalimanana [the challenger from the leady party NDLR] proved that he is also up to the job; it is not always easy to be in his place and take over the post of eminent figures of the political arena but I believe he handled very well the situation proving that he can get closer to the population. He is the main pretender but remember… the choice is ours and nothing is sealed until the votes are over on the 12th of December. And last but not least, can we try not to go to the slums and the poor areas of the city just because election is around the corner? That should be the duty of our elected representatives, go and see the plight of the whole population regularly and to enquire about the reality.
