June 26th is a temporal reference used by the different sides. Way out of from the crisis, return of president Ravalomanana, the national day has never ever been so politicized. For the legalistic movement, out of question to hoist the flags, as long as "Dad" is not back home.

Legalistic movement: against a” one-sided celebration” of June 26th

The independence celebration is also that of the armed forces. The legalistic people showed its opposition to any official celebration without president Ravalomanana. “We are going to celebrate June 26th our way” declared Jean Rakotoamboa louis, one of the leaders of the movement, without any ceremony that gathers all entities and parties in sign of national reconciliation.

The ceremony organized by the HAT is called “one-sided” by Jean Louis Rakotoamboa. “We invite the diplomatic body not to attend “, he has declared. The Secretary General of the Teza party emphasized that no official celebration of the national day should take place as long as the country is in crisis.

The legalistic party call the inhabitants to not to hoist the national flag in sign of protest. The civilian engagement is not to be forgotten: “a big demonstration will be organized in the six provincial chief towns to show that we don’t accept this regime “.

The most important for the pro-Ravalomanana is the president’s return in the country before June 26th. Once more, Ambroise Ravonison, president of the Madagascar Land of Freedom association and one of the leaders of the legalistic movement, spoke of an imminent return of Marc Ravalomanana. This time, he didn’t give of date and was less explicit.

“according to the latest news I received, Dad is no more on foreign soil, the interpretation is yours “, shouted” Uncle Ambroise” to the demonstrators gathered on the Magro Place. “As far as we are concerned, we only care about Dad’s return, let’s not be distracted by the others”, he insisted. Has Marc Ravalomanana already hit the sea on his way back to the country? The waiting will be long from here to… June 26th.
