New American Center: investing in culture

As announced by the Public Affairs Officer of the U.S Embassy Madagascar, Brett Bruen, on Friday, August 10, during a press conference, the new American Center located at Smart Tanjombato will open its doors on the next coming months. According to Mr. Bruen, as part of the ongoing efforts of the US Embassy Madagascar to promote local culture and environment protection, the American Center will put a big stress on culture. Thus,  culture will have its right place in the American Center.

Vima Entertainment, a subsidiary of the Vima Group, is responsible for the management of the cultural sector, including the center’s auditorium in which diverse events can be organized such as film projection, theater, karaoke, conference, seminars, etc. There is also an exhibition bar that can host after-work and private parties for professionals. Other cultural events, including, among others, the Short Film Festival (RFC), Madajazzcar Festival, Classical concerts of Madagascar Mozarteum will also be hosted by the Center.  5 private partners are collaborating with the US Embassy in this American Center adventure, including Vima Group, Teknet Group, Cookie Shop, Orange, and English Teaching Program (ETP).
