Pentecost week-end, leisure week-end.

For the inhabitants of Antananarivo in particular, there are 2 options.

All that the capital counts of private cars and taxi-brousse escapes towards the periphery. The first contain whole families, the others young people, in couples or bands.  Ambatofotsy, 20 km in the South of the capital, is one of these privileged places for this long week-end. Leisure Parks, picnics and walk belong to the tradition of this Whit Monday. Youngsters take along their guitar and will play as late as possible. This day, the small national park located at the exit of Ambatofotsy is crammed in spite of a small compulsory entry fee.

For those which do not have the means, there remains the second option, the festival organized on the Avenue of Independence in the middle of Tana. There one finds different kinds of gambling games and itinerant salesmen and, for the children, the small kart courses.  As the weather was good this year, this Pentecost holiday will certainly remain in the memories.
