Social Security Code: the training will continue in 2013

Since November 20, training workshop on the promotion to a wider public of the social security code, known as CPS, has been held in Antananarivo which is organized by the social actions and sanitary service of the CNaps, located in 67Ha. The workshop is the 29th training offered by CNaps which, for this year, is part of the annual implementation of the Sass Program. This year’s training sessions started in Vatomandry in February and will hit a close in December in Antsirabe.

The Head of Sass, Emilson Charles Randrianarijaona, stated that “the preparation of the action plan for the training in 2013 is already underway and special efforts will be made so that it reaches every employee, employer, worker’s union and company agency all over the 22 regions of Madagascar.” As for the time being, only about 600 000 workers are affiliated to CNaps. This figure explains the fact that many employees still feel uneasy about becoming members of CNaps. As for the employers, most of them are not completely convinced about the benefits of providing their employees with social protection. Since 2009, more than 8 000 persons have benefited from the training on CPS, with a total of 3056 this year alone.
