Technical education: seeking for foreign partnership

Constantly striving to bring innovation so as to improve the quality of the technical education in Madagascar, the Minister of Technical Education, Ndremanjary Jean-André, envisions long term collaborations with some developing countries, members of the group of the 77, which the Minister met during a general meeting on November 5.

Among the countries that Madagascar should partner with are Indonesia and South Korea, given their strong and positive achievements in terms of development, 5 years after their implementation of the Doha Program. Actually, those two countries achieved their development goals thanks to three focal points: political will of their leaders, providing more space and opportunities to research, and promotion of renewable energy. According to the Minister, a system of transfer of skills, especially in terms of renewable energy, should be established as a priority program through the partnership with these countries. To this regard, the Minister reported that projects of sending Malagasy students to study in partner countries, through scholarship opportunities, have already been discussed during the November 5 meeting.
