TELMA announces its arrival and intention to be a force to be reckoned with.

Telma arrives on the mobile cell scene and now there are 3.

Telecommunications can be said to be the one true boom market in Madagascar over the last few years. The Express writes, ?With ORANGE MADAGASCAR leading the way and the purchase of MADACOM by the CELTEL group the arrival of  TELMA on the cellular scene bodes well for the consumer market as fierce price competition will determine who buys what. These three are the ones to watch. Right now ORANGE MADAGASCAR has the largest number of clients and the most covered towns and areas. Their new product Unikall is designed to break the price barriers of inter-connect calls.

Remember that ANTARIS officially became Orange Madagascar in 2004 spinoff of Orange International, part of an International network created in England in 1994. In turn, bought by France Telecom in 2000 and which has since spread through about 20 African nations. It is also active in Asia and Europe with more than 52 million customers. CELTEL, the majority owner of Madacom with 66% of the active capitol belongs to a Koweit group named MTC with a business sheet of $2.5 billion in 2005. Obviously they plan on using some of those hard earned dollars to expand into the Malagasy market.

Welcome to the global economy.?
