The participants now have to define one way to drive the self proclaimed transitional leader away. Many of them would want it to come true as early as possible, and push for it through massive street protests. The more moderate ones are rather addressing other options. This National Conference became the Great Isle’s six provinces’ representatives’ and political figures’ official occasion to give the transitional ruling power a piece of their common mind. Former President Albert Zafe even labelled Rajoelina’s rule as an absolute totalitarian one. And Rajoelina himself got compared to the Lydian king Cresus, in reference to their common insatiable greed for wealth
