Atallah Beatrice made it to Europe and the United States of America, in search of cash, considering that the European Union, France and the International Organization of French speaking Countries cut the flow of their financial support to the Malagasy electoral process. The issue’s hard core remains the problematic candidacy of Andry Rajoelina, and to a certain extent those of Lalao Ravalomanana and Didier Ratsiraka. The International Community’s pressure based on these three candidacies does not ease. Yet, the former first lady’s supporters rather hold their champion Lalao Ravalomanana as the actual target of this blackmail
The prospects of elections on July 4th of this year are dwindling with every single day, just like the local electoral commission's cash reserves. The financial support cannot be granted. The President of the National Electoral Commission does however not appear willing to drop the towel yet.
