The rehabilitation works of the Queen’s Palace will be soon resumed

Apparently, after the establishment of the National Heritage Committee, chaired by former Minister of Culture, Mireille Mialy Rakotomalala, the rehabilitation works of the Palace of Manjakamiadana will be soon resumed. The announcement of that continuation of the rehabilitation works was made by the current Minister of Culture and Heritage.

On the one hand, some part of the works consists in putting the finishing touches in works that are already done, that is to say, the shell of the building (foundation in bent piles, structures, frame wall and cover, restoration of the façades and stone towers). On the other hand, the next steps of the rehabilitation works consist of the closure of the roof’s external parts (doors and windows in the roof) and of the renovation of the third floor. The masonry-work and the interior and exterior vertical wood walls and the woodworks (doors and windows) on the ground floor, the 1st and 2nd floor, the vertical and horizontal coverings (floors, ceilings, wallpaper), sanitations, electricity, chandeliers, and personal safety are also part of future works.
