Tourisme : looking to attract Spanish and American tourists

So far, the National Tourism Office of Madagascar (ONTM) has emphasized its actions in attracting french and italian tourists to visit Madagascar in larger numbers. Spanish tourists however seem to like the big island too. Reason for ONTM to target spanish tourists for the year 2008. Similarly, tourists visiting South Africa, especially Americans, are in a sense invited to sail to Madagascar while they stay. The president of the ONTM, Joel Randriamandranto, said contacts with South Africans tour operators will be established for this purpose. In the coming months, we expect to see a new category of tourists visiting the Big Island where, it is true, the assets are not missing.
