Touristic rally and fair at Mantasoa

Mantasoa is known to the public for the beauty of the great lake which occupies a significant area, and also for the first iron processing industry and ammunition manufacture installed by Jean Laborde during the royal era of the 19th century. It is through a fair, with cultural, commercial, touristic and sportive activites that Mantasoa aims at giving a boost to the reputation of the region. Mantasoa fair will be held from November 2nd to the 4th. To make a difference, a “tourist” rally is also planned. The departure will be given in Antananarivo, the final destination beeing Mantasoa, located about sixty kilometers from the capital.

The greatest desire for those originating from Mantasoa today is the rehabilitation of the ten kilometers road, which connects the town to the national highway number 2.
