Tritriva, the lovers? lake

It is a mysterious lake.  Pleasant to see.  Tritriva is a lake of volcanic origin which always causes curiosity.  Accessible thanks to a rural track rearranged many years ago, the lake stands in a typical landscape of the Malagasy highlands.  The two interlaced trees in the middle of the lake draw the attention.  At the place where both trees stand the malagasy Romeo and Juliet would indeed have committed suicide.  Ibeniomby and Ravolahanta according to the legend would have thrown themselves, interlaced, in the lake to seal, in front of the world, their prohibited love.  The lake continues to attract visitors because of the legend and because of the beauty of the site.  Bathing is prohibited however.  The guides and the local population also recommend, because of the taboos, the prohibition of onion and the pig meat.
