UNDP: supporting the export sector

UNDP has provided an intensive 5 day-training targeted to Executive Directors of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry and to representatives of professional groups which focused on supporting small and medium businesses concerning export processes. The 26 participants have explored several themes related to the promotion of exports by treating elements required in export business, including the sources of business information, funding sources, and strategies for export and strategies of trade negotiations.

This training is the first step in the workshop focusing on capacity building in export as part of the joint initiative of the Resource Center on International Trade (CRCI), the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Antananarivo (CCIA) and the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Madagascar (FCCIM) and is supported by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). The training and workshop target potentially small and medium businesses capable of engaging in the conquest of foreign markets.
