Afro-basketball Men: Madagascar is the steadiest country in Africa!

 
Madagascar has been chosen to welcome the year 2011´s Afro Men Basketball tournament. The competitions will take place from August 17th to the 28th, 2011. The best 15 African national teams will be expected in Antananarivo. So will major sport figures as well as a delegation from the NBA.    
It is a second to none opportunity for a Malagasy national team standing not a shadow of a chance to push through the knock out stage. The organization and the involvement into the competition are therefore victories for Madagascar.    
The authorities are personally pulling pride out or from the reasons which drew the Afro basketball Men 2011 to take place in Antananarivo.  The Secretary-General of the FIBA-Africa addressed the Prime minister Vital personally in an official letter.    
The focus point is actually made of the reasons which lead to the choice of Madagascar: the noticed political stability in the country, a good organization of the Women´s Afro Basketball competition in 2009 in spite of big communication related blunders and of the small audience.    
According to Dr Alphonse Bilé, Madagascar presents more stability than the other candidate countries, namely Tunisia, Ivory Coast, Egypt and Angola. The Malagasy authorities got it! The FIBA especially appreciated the government’s real political engagement in the competition´s management.    
The HAT´s prime minister did obviously not miss the opportunity to underline recognition from an international sport organization proving that Madagascar is a politically steady country. Has victory any reason to be when challengers are either politically on turning point or engulfed in armed conflicts?    
Telma, the Rajoelina administration´s eternal partner, supporting both the town hall and the presidency is paradoxically being presented like as a pledge for success for the event through the exploitation of its communication networks. In 2009, the company failed from internationally broadcasting the African competition.    
The Malagasy Basketball Federation (FMB) was trusted by the FIBA for on the basis of its recent experience in the organization of an African competition. Antananarivo, its single sports´palace should be able to host a competition between 16 teams.    
Besides, the Malagasy team will have the opportunity to prepare for the Afro Basket Men tournament in the Isles´Games which will take place in the Seychelles.
