They have been silenced when the FREE Fm radio station got closed by the ruling power, one year ago. Lalatiana Rakotondrazafy and Fidele Razara Pierre, Free Fm`s leadiing reporters, decided to dare the step into the political arena, somehow for the sake of getting back on track... or on air.

FREE Fm station` staff officially stepping into politics

Could there be any more appropriate way to resume their political debate than joining the front lines? Their station created back in 2011 got silenced by the ruling power as an outcome of an endless trial in 2012. An association named MASAH has just been  set up by FREE Fm`supporters who actively stood behind the station last year. The new group has candidates running for parliamentarian seats in eleven electoral districts throughout Madagascar. Fidele Razara Pierre himself happens to be one of them in the capital city`second district. As for Lalatiana Rakotondrazafy, although she does not run any election, she declared herself ready and waiting to pledge her active support to each and every challenger in its respective district. “We are stepping into politics as citizens”, declared Fidele Razara Pierre, as a matter of fair transition from his job as reporter to his new political career.
