The participation of the Ravalomanana side to negotiations for the transitional chart remains doubtful. The exiled president's reluctance doesn’t deter his envoys who still foresee some hope into what are still preliminary talks.

Negotiation: there is still hope, according to Fetison Andrianirina

Fetison Andrianirina, Marc Ravalomanana side’s representative is used to be interrogated about the reason of his presence at the Carlton hotel during the International Contact Group led political negotiation. «we are here because there is still hope… we are already heading to a compromise” did he respond with optimism. ” we do always process the same themes but the most important is to find out how could an end to negotiation be reached”.

The legalistic and the pro Ravalomanana sides do not make a secret of their discussions with other parties. “Our concern is to find a way to let Marc Ravalomanana return home, a way to have him participate to the resolution of the crisis” according to Fetison Andrianirina. He also declared that measures to adopt concerning Andry Rajoelina and all his actions remain to be determined.

Should the self proclaimed president of the High Authority of Transition be granted the same status as that to be granted to former chiefs of state? “The most important is to have reconciliation in Madagascar in order to have no more political conflicts” emphasized Fetison Andrianirina.

Despite the announcement of Marc Ravalomanana’s condemnation by the transitional justice ministry, the legalistic and anti HAT manifestations keep on growing at the Magro place and in the outskirts of Antananarivo. Demonstrators keep asking for the elected president’s return home and that of the constitutional order.

The Ravalomanana side alone is, for the time being; ready to dare the poles to end the political crisis in the country. This makes negotiations more difficult because the transition will not be a simple crossing to new elections. Andry Rajoelina had already displayed his intentions to govern the country as if having been confirmed by elections.

This is supposed to legitimize the… coup d’etat
