The UN’s Food and Agricultural Organization is rating the operation’s cost to some 15 millions of US dollars, ten times the government’s current contribution. Locusts invaded a large part of the territory in 1998, successfully dashing across the country from the south to the north. By that time, the consented reaction following the ringing alarm bells were far from enough. A remake now?
