Few hours after his arrest, Heriniaina Razafimahefa, former general manager of the Tiko group, belonging to Marc Ravalomanana, has been incarcerated.

A director of the Tiko group incarcerated

The track down of the president’s collaborators in exile is far from over. On Tuesday morning June 16th, another friend of Marc Ravalomanana enlarges the ranks of the new political prisoners under the era of the Transition directed by Andry Rajoelina.

Very early in the morning, Heriniaina Razafimahefa has been arrested in his home. This former general manager of the Tiko group and current head of the Public Works company Alma, belonging to the same group founded by Marc Ravalomanana, has been transferred immediately to the criminal Brigade before being submitted to the public prosecutor’s office and incarcerated in Antanimora. An unprecedented speed which surprised more one.

At least three charges are held against Heriniaina Razafimahefa: complicity of power abuse, complicity of public funds embezzlement and conflict of interest. He joins therefore in jail, parliamentarians, officers or simple politicians, all exiled president’s collaborators after three months of huge pressure on the allies of Marc Ravalomanana.

Heriniaina Razafimahefa has been part of Ravalomanana’s confidence circle for several years. He’s been president of the national airline company executive committee, Air Madagascar, for few years.

Leaders of the legalistic demonstration who support the president in exile estimate that the surprise arrest of the former CEO of Tiko has a direct tie with the announcement of the Marc Ravalomanana’s imminent return in the Great Isle. This return foreseen before the national day of June 26th makes indeed the High Authority of Transition which illegally and violently took the power by mid-March, extremely nervous. Right after the submission to the public prosecutor’s office, some employees of the Alma society and sympathizers of the “legalistic” movement went to the Court to support Heriniaina Razafimahefa morally.
