A travel through time: Malagasy painting is 197 years old

The greatest talents and the most agressive defenders of Malagasy art are there. They expose on the Rarihasina square in order to celebrate the 197e birthday of Malagasy painting. It is a true travel through time for the visitors of the exhibit. The landscapes and the portraits are quite attractive. The various styles of paintings did cross time and space. Some painting tables formerly exposed at the Queen’s Palace are exposed too.

For obvious safety reasons, the tables were not retained too long. Their historical value being of exceptional importance. Descendants of famous painters of the last century are present on the place to bring further information to the visitors. It is an event which deserves a visit, until September 9.
