Infuriated mobs tried to put their hands on the suspected murderers of an 82 years old cleric in Mandritsara, in the north of Madagascar. They wanted to beat the suspects to death, following their arrest; they even tried to storm into the detention center in which they were held in custody, but security forces deployed to avert the massacre. Mastering the raging crowd increasingly became hard. Four transitional government members reached the area in order to pacify mobs which sought nothing but revenge. The area might have finally recovered order, but still, the grudge has clearly not yet weakened. Sister Marie Emmanuel Helesbeux has been working as a nurse at the hospital of Mandritsara during the latest thirty years. She was murdered on March 1st. Police forces arrested three people who owned up the crime thereafter. The mobile must have been a money issue. The cleric came to claim her money borrowed by her former watchman.
