Diorano Wash: Election of a new national coordinator

The General Assembly of the platform Diorano Wash, held at the Panorama Hotel for two days, brought together over 150 participants from 22 regions. Bringing together the ministry of Water and Forest, the Ministry of Public Health, the Ministry of Education, the platform Diorano Wash is supported by other ministerial departments including the Environment, Town and Country Planning and by various NGOs working in the social sector.

This General Assembly was an opportunity to work on some main lines of activities such as total sanitation which is conducted by the community, labeling institutions that are partners of Diorano Wash, and the chain of sanitation oriented on three axis: solid waste, liquid waste and excreta. Finally, the committees worked on the guidelines of Diorano Wash. The Assembly was also an opportunity to elect the new National Coordinator, in the person of Rakotondraibe Herivelo, who will head the project for two years.
