Drinking water: CNRIT presents a new water purification device

The National Center for Industrial and Technological Research (CNRIT), an agency affiliated with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, presented yesterday a new water treatment device capable of purifying water and producing healthy drinking water, during the celebration of the “World Water Day” at the Panorama Hotel, at Andrainarivo. This water treatment device is a tube-shaped and white-colored equipment, and it is the result of a collaborative effort between the agency and the company Concert’Eau.

The latter is a company specializing in water treatment in order to produce drinking water for over 15 years and has shared its expertise in several countries such as Dubai, Jordan, and La Reunion. According the explanation of Professor Roger Rafanomezantsoa Marie, the Manager of CNRIT, this new device can be used up to 5 to 7 years and can provide its user with clean water. Therefore, it brings health to its users because even the smallest bacteria can be filtered through this performing device.

The vulgarization of this research result will thus contribute to increase the population’s accessibility to drinking water. It will only take 6 months before we feel tangible outcomes from the vulgarization of the product, added the manager of CNRIT. Thus, officials have already studied vulgarization strategies of the product.
