The African Union will not grant any international credit to any local presidential election as long as the three presidential candidates held as "unwanted" keep on insisting on running the presidential race. Mediator Joaquim Chissano emphasized this point in the run of the Union's summit held during the latest week end in Addis Ababa. Yet, none of the three concerned candidates, namely Andry Rajoelina, Lalao Ravalomanana and Didier Ratsiraka, has until now made not a single move in the direction of the required pull out

 The Great Isle will once more be host either to Joaquim Chissano or his envoy Leonardo Simao all over this week. It is undeniable that its next mission on Malagasy soil will focus on the withdrawal of these figures from the electoral canvas. Shall the Malagasy point converge with that of the SADC and the African Union? Less than two months to the potential beginning of the presidential challenge, namely July 24th, absolutely nothing can be held for granted as a matter of fact.
