Enjoy Madagascar, the international tourism exhibition, officialy opens today

This exhibition, initiated by the National Tourism Office of Madagascar (ONTM), reflects the continued promotion of the destination. It will be attended by tourism agencies of the Indian Ocean region, tourism and travel professionals from European countries like France, Germany. It will also host local tourism operators. Concerning the tourism agencies of the Indian Ocean, they have been working for several weeks now on the establishment of a common label known as “Vanilla islands”. The aim is to combine efforts and resources for a joint promotion. This option will allow Madagascar to participate, for example, in international exhibition whose cost is often very expensive.

The country is reputed to have more than 5000 km of coastline and outstanding marine sites for diving. Unfortunately, due to lack of means, local operators have not yet succeeded in making large-scale promotional activities in these sites. As for the exhibition entitled, Enjoy Madagascar, it will officially open its doors today at Futura Andranomena. As the craft sector is somewhat inseparable from that of tourism, artisans will also be exhibiting their products. The Federation of Hotels and Restaurants in Madagascar (FHORM) organizes every day in its stand drawing lots with prizes to be won such as free tickets for hotel rooms, body care, and meals. Each drawing lots will benefit 4 winners and all the prizes are destined for 2 persons. Hotels and restaurants participating in the game are located in the capital, in Fort-Dauphin, in Antsirabe and in Antsiranana.
